As you probably know, MTGSalvation was going to shut down, but then didn't. Well, during the period where we thought it was the end of the line we started work on a new forum. We are pleased to finally announce MTGNexus

Nexus is a community based website that spotlights the game and the people who support the game, as well as provide you with tools to play the game, original content, and of course, a traditional forum area. We hope you come check us out.

Thanks! I know I have to hype it, but I'm really excited to see where it goes. Our developer has a a vision and the only limitations are what the software physically can't do. But it is a great feeling to no longer be held back by a parent dev team constantly saying "ok, we will look at that evenetually".

I dipped my toes in the water. We'll see how it goes I guess.

@cryo: Are they paying you for your time there? (I feel like they should be.)

Nope, labor of love.

It's always nice to see nobody has claimed my username already. Site looks good, and it already has EDH content. Yay.

What were the things you wanted added that were being held back?

Mostly coding changes that couldn't be accomplished at the admin level with our current tools, some other things that required being ran up the chain of command to a parent corporation.

Edit: the deck builder, for example, was a big one. We were given no advance time to play with it and offer.feeback, and then once it was published our requests for improvements fell on deaf ears.

Not intentionally. New owners are working on it is what I've been told.
